Tiny Hard Drive Uses Single Atoms to Store Data – WSJ


A one-kilobyte atomic-memory device is described in a new paper in the journal Nature Nanotechnology. Scientists say it can pack hundreds of times more information per square inch than the best currently available data-storage technologies.
