Fintech firms concerned about EU “open banking” laws


Some European fintech firms have spoken out against EU laws that allow banks to use third parties to access customer data. According to critics, “open banking” provisions often subject startups to more regulation, notably regarding data protection, “shift[ing] the balance of power between the old and new.”
