Trump Administration Signals It Will Replace CFPB’s Cordray


The incoming Trump administration signaled it will replace Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray, American Banker reported. Trump interviewed former Rep. Randy Neugebauer, R-Texas, for the job on Wednesday, his spokesman said. Cordray’s term ends in 2018 and under the Dodd-Frank Act, he can only be fired “for cause.”
