If a technology company chooses its EU headquarters solely based on privacy regulations, then perhaps the EU may wish to evaluate the impact on businesses of its privacy regulation and seek out an effective mechanism to enforce the law, but not drown a company in responding to the same regulatory requests and investigations 28 times over.

Oh wait, it’s called “one stop shop”. But no EU member state wants to compromise. Killing jobs and raising costs for consumes is part of the result.
