The largest and most damaging Swiss bank heist in history doesn’t involve stolen money but stolen computer files with more than 100,000 names tied to Swiss bank accounts at HSBC, the second largest commercial bank in the world.
This data was stolen in 2007 and its still being used 7 years later. It makes you wonder if 2 years of credit monitoring does anything for victims of data breaches. Not that we are worrying much about many of the individuals on this particular list.
