A Kaspersky Lab report issued yesterday discussed a cyberespionage group the firm has called the Equation Group, which the report described as “a threat actor that surpasses anything known in terms of complexity and sophistication of techniques, and that has been active for almost two decades.” The NY Times and FT summarized this report, with both alleging that the NSA is the “threat actor”.
