“Privacy v. Security”- As if the two cannot coexist and are not both crucial to the survival of a democracy. It is really about liberty and control.

I do love this quote:

Speaking at MI5 headquarters late on Thursday, he warned against an atmosphere in which privacy was “so absolute and sacrosanct that terrorists and others who mean us harm can confidently operate from behind those walls without fear of detection.”

Really? Because I am pretty sure privacy has been on the losing side of almost all battles since 9/11.
