Coincidence that it was released the day after DuckDuckGo made headlines? Well, the FTC report has spurred Microsoft, Google and others to develop opt-out technology (okay, the technology has been there, but now it’s being deployed). But let’s give credit where credit is due. They saw the threat and moved quickly. Although this doesn’t address the specific issued raised by DuckDuckGo, it does get Google the ball back.
